 | Carl H. Snyder |
| Carl is originally from northern New York State. He and his wife currently reside in Ithaca located in the Finger Lakes Region. They have 3 adult daughters and one grandson. He enjoys hunting, fishing, trapping, canoeing and camping. His hobbies include woodworking and spending time with his grandson. He earned his degree in Forestry from Paul Smiths College in '71 and his original real estate salesperson license in '75. He worked part time for 2 different Brokers until he was transferred with his primary employer to the Southern Tier of NYS. Carl worked in management and sales within the building material supply / construction industry for over 25 years and rediscovered the real estate business in 2001 and more particularly the land business. He worked for 2 different land development companies and another Broker before earning his broker's license and starting NY Land Quest. He has completed land acquisitions, subdivisions and sold land in most regions of NYS. | Originally from Texas, Melissa has lived in Upstate New York for the past 16 years and currently resides in Lansing, NY. She has worked for several non-profits while living in New York, specializing in technology and resource development. Melissa is a member of the Friends of Lansing Community Library where she manages the library's website and assists with fundraising. She is a poet and writer and has had several poems published in literary journals across the United States. She enjoys hiking in the spring and summer and snowshoeing in the winter. Fall is Melissa's favorite season, and she loves driving the country roads to photograph the colorful leaves and light. | Brian was born and has lived in the Tompkins county area for most of his life. Brian, his wife, and their 2 young sons reside in Lansing located in the Finger Lakes region. Brian attended Alfred State as an Electric Service Tech and is a 2002 Graduate of Tompkins Cortland Community College with a Business Degree. Brian has a vast array of hobbies including hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, snowmobiling and snorkeling in the Florida Keys as well as fossil hunting, but his #1 hobby is spending time with his sons. Brian prides himself as a “hands on” Dad, helping his sons with Microd racing and daily sporting events. Family time is spent in the Adirondacks as well as biking and sightseeing in Acadia Park in Maine. Brian has been self employed for a decade and has worked in the automotive business with a background in sales and construction. He has remodeled older homes and designed and built custom boiler systems. His family has increasingly lived a life style of sustainable agriculture with pasture raised pork and organic gardening for the past ten years. | Pete Martino graduated from the University of Montana in 1991 and began his career as a Middle School Teacher and baseball coach for various private schools, and a seasonal National Park Service employee throughout the summers. His teaching career ended in 1997 when he moved to upstate NY and joined forces with a large Central New York Land Company. While working in the land business for 13 years, he specialized in marketing and selling rural, secluded tracts of land geared towards hunting, fishing, country getaways and camp life. While working full time with customers in upstate NY, he also managed, marketed and sold ranchland in Central Montana via monthly flights to Big Sky Country. He would be the first to tell you that the experience of meeting people from all over the country has been the best part of the job. He recognizes the dream of owning land and how it is shared by everyone from all walks of life. Finding a way to make the dream a reality is very fulfilling to Pete and customers see his commitment to them very early in their property search. Pete currently resides in Clinton, NY with his wife Laura and two children. His interests include family time, fishing, boating, hunting and exploring the North Country. His hobbies include maple sugaring, and maintaining a small fruit orchard. Starting January 2012, Pete officially began as Manager of the Northern Division of NY Land Quest and he looks forward to another successful journey into the world of marketing and selling rural properties. | Originally from Western New York, Frank now makes his home with his wife in Binghamton, NY. He received his Masters in Anthropology from Washington State University and for many years worked as both a college instructor and administrator. He and his wife also served together as Peace Corps volunteers in the South Pacific. He has lived and traveled abroad extensively and has never lost his interest in discovering new places and cultures. Frank went on to work in the log home industry, selling and designing log homes for two companies. It was at this time he first became interested in land and rural properties. As he puts it, “Spending time with my clients walking their land, really drove my own interest in owning and eventually selling rural properties.” Frank is an avid hockey player and participates in a number of leagues around Binghamton. If there is an outdoor activity you can think of, Frank probably does it. Hiking, fishing, skiing and scuba diving are just a few of his favorites. As a licensed real estate salesperson, Frank enjoys working with people seeking that little piece of paradise and brings his enthusiasm for the outdoors to every property he lists or shows.
